Pediatric Home Hospice Experience:

Starting July 2008, our fellows have a pediatric home hospice experience during their rotation at Nationwide Children’s Hospital’s home hospice program.   They have an average census of 5-10 patients.  Our fellows will attend a daily IDT meeting to discuss the home patients.  They will make home visits with different patients, the medical director and other members of the allied medical staff.

LTC Experience Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellows make visits to patients in the LTC hospice setting during Zusman Community Hospice and Riverside Kobacker Hospice rotations.   During the Zusman  Community Hospice rotation, fellows will spend 5 dedicated half-days per week seeing patients in a LTC setting.  Fellows will attend LTC facility care plan meetings on any patients that they are following.
